Public Relation and Righteousness

बाज़ीचा-ए-अत्फाल है दुनिया मेरे आगे,

होता है शबो रोज़ तमाशा मेरे आगे|

मिर्ज़ा ग़ालिब

The above couplet of Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib very aptly describes the state of mind of a righteous and content person. A righteous person does everything in his/her capacity but demean others. He rather plays it down as a childish act. In the above couplet ghalib says the world is but a children’s playground for him, he further says that he is a witness to farce every day.

Righteousness is considered a virtue, but we live in a materialistic society that has stooped low and now it is considered lack of opportunity. A righteous person does his work silently without publicizing it. This leads to a situation in which he is considered an unsocial man by his peers. Public relation, image building etc. are not his cup of tea but in today’s world even such men can acquire services and be benefitted. Such men can project themselves as ‘social’, by doing certain things according to the directions of PR Professionals. Such a process can be helpful, righteous person in most of the cases are loners and they can plan their schedule in such manner so as to enjoy solitude.
