Blogs: The Order of The Day
Blogs are short informative pieces of
writing. They contain the requisite information in small simple sentences. The
message in these write ups is direct. Blogs are written without much ado. The
concern of the author is to put his point across. The target audience can be
varied as can be the nature of blogs.
Professional blogs are different from
personal blogs. A personal blog may be on varied experiences a person has had
in his/her life whereas professional blog sticks to the certain field in which
the author specialises. A blogger who works for a PR agency will not write
about Rocket science. The blogs would consist of small write ups on the various
aspects of PR say image building, media relations and crisis management etc.
These small write ups attract far more
readers than the traditional articles. And such readership is sure to result in
an increase in business for the organisation. Blogs are much like the ‘cutting
chai’ of Mumbai, devised out of paucity of time. They serve the purpose and are
not at all cumbersome. After all no one has the time to
read and understand a full-fledged article so blogs have become the order of
the day.
